Poor Animals Welfare & Surgical Fund (P.A.W.S. Fund)
The Prince William Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter operating under the County’s direction, budget restrictions and constraints. As such, no funds are budgeted or available to the Shelter to assist animals presented with complex wounds or injuries that require extensive diagnostics or surgery. In the past, these poor animals would be put down if a Veterinarian could not be found to perform the needed service pro bono or turned over to a local rescue to take care of the medical problem.
We have now established the Poor Animals Welfare & Surgical Fund (P.A.W.S. Fund) to pay the medical bills for these pets to assure they get the care they need, the time to recover and the new forever home they so deserve.
Please donate to the P.A.W.S. Fund and know that you are truly saving and improving the lives of animals and their human companions.
